Bay Area Open (BAOpen) tournaments are some of the oldest tournament that are still taking place in the Bay Area 2-3 times a year. Considered as one of the most anticipated tournament in the Bay Area, BAOpen has an average of 300 participants since the year 2000. The highest number of participants BAOpen reached was 396 players.

Starting Fall 2009, BAOpen will be managed and run by United States Badminton Organization (USBO) to better promote the sport of badminton.

    The initial 16 Smashers tournament will have only doubles events (A/B/C/D Men Doubles and C/D Women Doubles). Each events are limited to ONLY 16 teams. Once 16 teams have registered in an event, the registration for that event is closed. Guaranteed to play 2 matches for each registered events. No age or membership restrictions.

    Registration are accepted online only. $40/team for each doubles event. A Men's Doubles event winners will receive prize money of $200/team for 1st place, $100/team for 2nd place, $50/team for 3rd place, and medals for consolation winners. All other events winner will receive medals for 1st, 2nd, and consolation winner.

    NOTE: If you are playing in BAJO tournament in doubles event, you cannot play in the 16 Smashers tournament.

    Join us in Bay Area Junior Open (BAJO) badminton tournament on May 29-30, 2010. Bay Area Junior Open (BAJO) tournament is the last junior tournament after Central Coast Section (CCS) Final and North Coast Section (NCS) Final prior to the US Junior National. This year, BAJO is a USAB sanction tournament. All participants must be a USAB member / member of USA Badminton Club to participate in the tournament.

    Join us in our 12th Bay Area Junior Open badminton tournament in Yonex BAJO 2008 on May 23-24, 2009. Bay Area Junior Open (BAJO) tournament is the last junior tournament after Central Coast Section (CCS) Final and North Coast Section (NCS) Final prior to the US Junior National. It is a great and fun tournament for juniors to play with their friends and partners and compare/test their skill with other junior badminton players.

    The Bay Area Summer Open (BASO) 2009 is in its 3rd year of holding senior tournament. This year, we are adding a separate event, College Doubles event ONLY, for test trail-run and for FUN. The Senior Doubles event is purposely run at the same time as the Bay Area Junior Open (BAJO) so that parents who is 35 years old or older can compete while their kids compete. The College Doubles event is to provide college/university students that has nothing to do during Memorial Day weekend a place to compete with each others. You need a current college/university identification to play in the tournament.

    Last day to register is May 18, 2009. You can ONLY register to BASO 2009 online.
