The Bay Area Summer Open (BASO) 2009 is in its 3rd year of holding senior tournament. This year, we are adding a separate event, College Doubles event ONLY, for test trail-run and for FUN. The Senior Doubles event is purposely run at the same time as the Bay Area Junior Open (BAJO) so that parents who is 35 years old or older can compete while their kids compete. The College Doubles event is to provide college/university students that has nothing to do during Memorial Day weekend a place to compete with each others. You need a current college/university identification to play in the tournament.

Last day to register is May 18, 2009. You can ONLY register to BASO 2009 online.

EVENTS:
Senior Doubles ( $15/player) ( You and your partner must be at at least 35 years old to play )
College Doubles ( $15/player) ( You and your partner must have a current valid college/university identification to play )
Pricing includes 2 pieces of Yonex feather shuttlecocks for each match.
NOTE: You cannot play in both events.

Note: This is a Uni-Sex doubles event. A team can consist of Male/Male, Male/Female, or Female/Female members. Overall, the goal is to have fun playing badminton!


EVENT MATCHES:
All events consist of single-elimination with consolation. All matches including Consolation Matches are run using the 21x3 rally point scoring system.


AWARDS:
Trophies or medals will be given to all winners, runner-ups, and consolation winners.
