Yonex Bay Area Junior Open (BAJO) Summer 2008
May 24-25 (Memorial Day Weekend)
San Jose State University

Join us in our 11th Bay Area Junior Open badminton tournament in Yonex BAJO 2008 on May 24-25, 2008. Bay Area Junior Open (BAJO) tournament is the last junior tournament after Central Coast Section (CCS) Final and North Coast Section (NCS) Final prior to the US Junior National. It is a great and fun tournament for juniors to play with their friends and partners and compare/test their skill with other junior badminton players.

Event Matches:
All events consist of single-elimination with consolation. All matches with the exception of Consolation Matches are run using the BWF rules of 21x3 rally point scoring system. Consolation Matches are run using 21x1 rally point scoring system.

FLIGHTS:
Player's age must be under the age category as of June 1, 2008.

U11 - Under 11
U13 - Under 13
U15 - Under 15
U17 - Under 17
U19 - Under 19


AWARDS:
Trophies or medals will be given to all winners, runner-ups, and consolation winners.

In celebrating the 11th Anniversary of BAJO, starting in this tournament the winners names will be engraved in a special trophy donated by Badminton Alley. The trophy holds 4 years of names of winners of BAJO starting with this year tournament. Be the first to have YOUR NAME put on this special trophy!


DEADLINE:
May   9th - Last day to register & get FREE t-shirt (Extended to Monday May 14th)
May 14th - Last day to register (Extended to Monday May 19th)

NO FREE t-shirt for registration received after Friday May 9, 2008. T-shirt quantities and sizes are based on participants registered on/before May 9, 2008.

All entry forms and payments MUST be received by May 14, 2008.

Entries that are INCOMPLETE (Partner has not registered AND/OR no payment) will not be accepted or placed on the draw.

We are enforcing stricter rules to ensure that the tournament run smoothly and professionally. We hope that all participant work with us to make badminton a more recognized professional sport.


REGISTRATION:
Participants are limited to 2 events per day unless approved by the Tournament Director.
Registration will be limited to ensure tournament is run smoothly.
First registered and paid will be entered in the draw.

Entry forms are required for EACH player in doubles team.
